TWIMS Telegraph April 2020

by | Apr, 2020

Stronger Together

“In the end, it will be impossible to know if we have overreacted or did too much, but it will be quite apparent if we under reacted or did too little.”

We are living in challenging times, the likes of which most of us have never seen. We at TWIMS are very  proud of the incredible work that our community continues to do. From our colleagues working to put food on the table of every South African to those who have heard the call to manufacture medical equipment, we thank each one of you, we are stronger together.

We have pushed pause

All our programmes at TWIMS are currently on pause but that doesn’t mean we aren’t working hard! The TWIMS team are working from home to continue our work on our executive development programmes, breakfast seminars, GIBS MBA electives and research.

Reach out to one of our team to chat about the future of manufacturing, green manufacturing, lean manufacturing, African trade and industrialisation or just to say hi! You can see our full team and their bios by clicking on the button below.

Take your mind off it

The number of virus experts online is astounding. TWIMS is not home to any of those experts. We have focused our effort on the strategic issues facing manufacturers and over the last year brought in experts to share their ideas with you, our community.  We have now made these videos available for free to you on our YouTube channel.

Join Dr Jeff Chen as he discusses AI, Prof. Justin Barnes chatting about industry 4.0 or Rose Heathcote exploring lessons in lean leadership.

Thats it for April! We are unsure when our campus will be open again so please keep an eye on our social media for all the latest info.

Keep safe, stay home.
