The Five Key Trends That Will Shape Sustainable Finance In 2022
26/10/22 @ 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
R4000What Are The Five Key Trends That Will Shape Sustainable Finance In 2022?
The Sustainable Finance and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) reporting landscape is changing rapidly from one that started as voluntary and fragmented, to one that is going to be regulated and unified. This TWIMS Masterclass will explore the key trends that are likely to influence and change the sustainable finance landscape in 2022 and beyond as well as examine what the knock-on implications will be for organisations. The movement to science-based target setting for reporting will also be explored, as well as how organisations should be positioning themselves for this change.
This masterclass will unpack the implications of the trends and will provide participants with strategic and practical knowledge that will allow them to critically engage with sustainable finance constructs particularly pertaining to reporting frameworks and targets as well as positioning organisations to be recipients of sustainable finance from lending and investment institutions.
The topics to be covered in the masterclass will be the following:
- The Status Quo of the current Financial System and the pressures for change
- Regulations coming into effect from 2022
- Science-based targets linked to loans and bonds
- Implications if caught greenwashing
- The importance of the ‘greenness’ of your supply chains
- How you can use sustainable finance as a tool to unlock organisational growth
The day is structured to ensure all participants secure:
-
- An understanding of the global ESG and sustainable finance landscape and trends
- An understanding of the new reporting frameworks and their implications for operations
- An opportunity to identify and apply strategic frameworks to engage with sustainable finance
- An opportunity to gain practical experience in interacting with the reporting and finance legislationframeworks
