Prof Theuns Pelser

Executive Director

Background:

Theuns has over 30 years of experience as an academic. He has fulfilled many managerial positions as Dean, Executive Director and Head of Business School at public and private institutions. He had authored more than 100 academic peer-reviewed research outputs and supervised over 50 masters and doctoral students. He has corporate experience as a strategy analyst and strategy manager at Sasol. He is the founder of Teleios Advisory Services (TAS), a strategy consultancy which has advised on corporate strategy for leaders in numerous organisations spanning tourism, petrochemical, education and the manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities:

Theuns is the Executive Director at TWIMS. He is also the Head (Chair) of Research, sponsored by CFAO. In addition to supervising PhD and MBA students, Theuns is responsible for developing TWIMS into Africa’s foremost manufacturing business education institution and assumes primary responsibility for the academic leadership of TWIMS. He is responsible for developing deep and sustainable relationships with public and private manufacturing stakeholders in South Africa and more broadly.
