Metair Research Head: Sustainable Manufacturing and Sustainable Finance
Over three days, the Sustainable Manufacturing 2025 executive short course immersed participants in the future of industrial systems. Day 1 laid the foundation, challenging teams to build business cases for green manufacturing innovations. Topics ranged from circular economy principles and planetary boundaries to energy reform and the true cost of production.
Day 2 shifted focus to sustainable business models and value redefinition. Participants explored integrated valuation frameworks, stakeholder mapping, and circular design strategies. Case studies from Inditex to Interface demonstrated how sustainability can drive profitability. The day concluded with deep dives into carbon pricing, emissions reporting, and the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism.
Key Takeaway:
Sustainability is no longer a compliance exercise; it’s a strategic imperative that redefines value, resilience, and innovation.
